Through the Normalization and Certification NYCE, S.C. (NYCE), The ISO/IEC 29110 certification was obtained, a series of standards and technical reports titled “Systems and Software Engineering – Part 4-1: Software Engineering – Profile Specifications – Generic Profile Group“.
NYCE was established under the Federal Law on Metrology and Standardization and is the “Only certification body accredited to certify the ISO/IEC 29110-4-1 standard in Mexico and the second internationally, as well as the first to certify the ISO/29110-4-2 standard both nationally and internationally.”
The ISO / IEC 29110was developed by the Working Group 24 (WG24) of Subcommittee 7 (SC7) of the Joint Technical Committee 1 (JCT1) of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), in which NYCE actively participates in this and other topics.
The ISO/IEC 29110was developed to improve the quality of software products and/or services, and to enhance organizational performance, without intending to exclude the use of different Life Cycle methodologies such as: Waterfall, Iterative, Incremental, Evolutionary, or Agile.
This certification accreditation stems from the experience in evaluations in accordance with national and international standards and best practices of NYCE, through which organizations demonstrate that they develop quality software and have organizational support processes, achieved through the continuous improvement of their processes.
